To implement the Group's guidelines on fostering the “three talent teams," deliver on the company's talent development strategy, and align with the strategic objectives outlined in the five-year plan, Huaxia Jianlong strives to build a geological workforce that is highly competent and professionally proficient. On March 28, the inaugural session of Huaxia Jianlong's Geological Competency Enhancement Program was held in the News Lecture Hall at Capital University of Economics and Business. The event was attended by nearly 40 participants, including Jin Wei, the Executive Deputy General Manager, Zhang Zhansheng, the Deputy General Manager, Professor Lai Yong from the School of Earth and Space Sciences at Peking University, Professor Wei Junhao from the School of Resources at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Professor Xie Wei from the School of Geosciences and Info-Physics at Central South University, and the trainees.

During the opening ceremony, Deputy General Manager Zhang Zhansheng delivered an opening speech. He emphasized that geological work serves as the "vanguard" of resource development. Amid the accelerated technological iteration in the industry, geological professionals must continuously solidify their theoretical foundations and update their technical knowledge to find the right direction and solve problems under complex geological conditions. He encouraged trainees to embrace an empty-cup mentality, closely integrate classroom learning with practical production scenarios, and translate acquired knowledge into real-world problem-solving capabilities on the front lines.

Deputy General Manager Zhang Zhansheng signed expert consultant engagement agreements with the three scholars, and Executive Deputy General Manager Jin Wei presented appointment certificates to the expert advisors.

At the opening ceremony, Executive Deputy General Manager Jin Wei shared three insights. She pointed out that mineral resources and human resources are the two cornerstones of the company's growth and development, and geological work requires both scientific methods and long-term commitment. Firstly, she emphasized the importance of scientific mineral exploration and pragmatism, urging geological professionals to handle every task with a rigorous and pragmatic approach. Secondly, she highlighted the need to stay true to the original aspiration and uphold long-term commitment, noting that geological endeavors yield immediate benefits while laying the groundwork for future success, requiring perseverance, patience and dedication. Thirdly, she called for fulfilling corporate mission with a dedicated sense of responsibility, stating that geological work often involves arduous conditions, such as field operations and high-altitude exploration, which test both physical and mental fortitude. Only by embracing a spirit of dedication and perseverance can employees align their personal career pursuits with the company's strategic layout.

The inaugural session of the Geological Competency Enhancement Program involved 28 trainees and spanned two days, covering four specialized courses. The training adopted an "expert lectures and thematic seminars" model. The curriculum was tailored to address the company’s core business pain points and cutting-edge industry trends. Professor Wei Junhao delivered a lecture on "Ore-Controlling Structural Systems and Case Studies in Mineral Exploration," Professor Xie Wei covered "Fundamentals of Geophysical Exploration" and "Applications and Advances in New Geophysical Exploration Techniques and Methods," and Professor Lai Yong discussed "Mineralization Processes and Research Progress in Porphyry Deposits."

On March 29, Chairman Yuan Zhanyong attended a trainee exchange session and delivered a closing speech. Chairman Yuan emphasized that mineral resources are the company's core strategic resource and that strengthening the geological team and promoting resource reserves expansion are top priorities. For the first time ever, the company has deployed dedicated HRBPs for the geological specialty line. This pioneering initiative provides solid support for the geological team in talent recruitment & development, team building, administrative logistics and other key areas. Chairman Yuan encouraged trainees to hone their professional capabilities steadily, as solid professionalism serves as a lifelong asset. He urged them to cherish the opportunity to learn from top industry experts, broaden their industry perspectives, enhance their professional capabilities, and apply their knowledge effectively in practical settings.
