Double Dragon Nickel-Magnesite Serpentine Mine Project Officially Commences Operation

At around 10 a.m. on December 10, as on-site instructions were issued, the Double Dragon Nickel-Magnesite Serpentine Mine Project in Ar Horqin Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, officially commenced operation. This marks the formal entry of Double Dragon Mining into the production phase after years of persistence and preparation, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent development of deeper industrial chains. Jin Wei, Executive Vice President of China Jianlong, and Zhou Zhenhua, Vice President of China Jianlong and General Manager of Baotong Mining, attended the launch ceremony. Zhang Zhen, Vice President of Double Dragon Mining, presided over the event.

In his speech, Zhang Bangsheng, General Manager of Double Dragon Mining, noted that the project is a critical move in China Jianlong’s strategic layout. It will promote the transformation of regional resources and improve the industrial chain, leading the industry’s green transformation with "efficient resource utilization + tailings-free mining." He emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to safety rules from the very beginning, reinforcing responsibilities, and identifying and addressing potential risks. He expressed hope that meticulous trial operations would lay a solid foundation, with a commitment to innovation-driven transformation toward deep processing. By pursuing green development and collaborating with local stakeholders to build a win-win ecosystem, the project aims to become an industry benchmark and model.
It is understood that in 2019, under the guidance of Chairman Yuan Zhanyong’s principles of "defining resources through technology" and "comprehensive utilization of resources and resource integration," Double Dragon Mining completed its exploration and resource reserve registration. In the next step, Double Dragon Mining will focus on advancing hydrometallurgical technology and conducting experimental research on serpentine cyclic leaching agent roasting. This will gradually facilitate a production transformation toward high-value-added products such as nickel-cobalt hydroxide concentrates, magnesium oxide, and white carbon black, continuously enhancing resource value and industrial competitiveness.
