Huaxia Jianlong Launches Production Safety Month
On May 28, Huaxia Jianlong held a meeting to launch the Production Safety Month. This year marks the 23rd National Production Safety Month. Huaxia Jianlong has launched various activities with the theme of "Everyone Cares about Safety and Masters Emergency Response - Clearing the Way for Life", aiming to further enhance the safety awareness and risk avoidance and escape capabilities of all employees, and promote the sustainable and stable development of the company's production safety. The meeting was attended by the leadership team of Huaxia Jianlong, department managers, and headquarters staff, mid-to-high level management from subsidiaries, and project managers from our partners, which was presided over by Ren Zuoping, the Safety Director of Huaxia Jianlong.
The meeting conveyed the Notice of the Emergency Management Department of the Office of the State Council Work Safety Commission on Printing and Distributing the Plan for the National "Production Safety Month" in 2024, the Plan for the Production Safety Month of Jianlong Group in 2024, and the work requirements of the meeting.
The Manager of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department at Huaxia Jianlong, Li Lingchao, announced the Plan of Huaxia Jianlong 2024 Production Safety Month. During the Production Safety Month, Huaxia Jianlong will organize a series of activities including a Production Safety Promotion Week, a Major Safety Inspection, a special action of "Special Operations Safety Management," a Safety Whistleblower initiative, emergency drills, production of hazardous operation videos, and a Safety Promotion and Consultation Day.
The attendees watched the documentaries collectively, including "Paramount Importance of Life," "Production Safety Responsibility on Our Shoulders," and "Accident Warning Videos." They also studied a series of new viewpoints, ideas, and conclusions proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping. This served as a reminder for us to always prioritize production safety.
Zhang Zhansheng, the Deputy General Manager of Huaxia Jianlong, has proposed five specific work requirements for the Production Safety Month activities: First, all subsidiaries and departments should focus on studying production safety knowledge to enhance their safety awareness. Second, we should focus on carrying out safety training and education to improve their safety skills. Third, it is essential to strengthen the control of the work site to enhance the level of production safety management. Fourth, we need to refine the division of safety management responsibilities and fully implement the production safety responsibility system. Fifth, it is necessary to actively organize and carry out the "Production Safety Month" activities to create a strong atmosphere for strengthening safety management.
Li Jinqian, the General Manager of Huaxia Jianlong, further emphasized the importance of production safety for enterprises through examples. Li pointed out that safety was not just a slogan; accidents were not accidental but inevitable when various safety hazards were ignored, when violations by employees were allowed to run rampant, and when compliance with superior inspections was only superficial. Regarding the next steps in safety management, Li called on everyone to take immediate action, transforming the sense of responsibility that "cannot rest easy at any time" into the action force of being "fully prepared for everything." With tighter strings, stronger efforts, and more practical measures, we must firmly safeguard the bottom line of safety and comprehensively win the battle for production safety throughout the year.
Yuan Zhanyong, the Chairman of Huaxia Jianlong, delivered an important speech on the company's production safety effort. In his speech, he emphasized that safety work must be implemented concretely. Through the Production Safety Month, we should solve specific practical problems based on our actual situation. First and foremost, it is essential to implement safety education and training effectively, enhance employees' safety awareness and create a positive atmosphere of safety. Secondly, it is crucial to implement safety responsibilities at all levels; this involved strengthening, delegating, and fulfilling responsibilities. It was important to focus on the inherent major safety risks of underground and open-pit mines, closely monitor critical operational areas and hazardous work processes, and fulfill safety management responsibilities. By managing safety risks proactively, we can prevent and resolve safety issues beforehand. Thirdly, departments and professional lines should utilize their expertise to solve practical problems in production. Fourthly, it is necessary to strengthen the safety management of external partners and related parties and ensure strict safety access control. Fifthly, we should promote innovation in management activities, continuously explore new safety management methods and means tailored to actual situations, thereby improving the pertinence and effectiveness of safety management. Finally, Chairman Yuan stressed that "seeking truth and being pragmatic" was the core requirement for safety management. The Production Safety Month should demonstrate the actual effects of safety management through various safety activities, address practical issues, and promote continuous improvement in safety management.
