Liu Yaowei, Equipment Engineer of Chengde Jianlong (a Subsidiary of Huaxia Jianlong), Wins Excellence Award at the "AI + Construction Machinery" Special Competition
Recently, the Final of the "AI + Construction Machinery" Special Competition of the 15th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Xuzhou. Liu Yaowei, Equipment Engineer of Chengde Jianlong, a subsidiary of Huaxia Jianlong, won the Excellence Award for his project Variable-Diameter Crawling Inspection Robot with Driven Spiral Traveling for Mine Slurry Pipelines.
Targeting practical challenges in the internal inspection of mine slurry pipelines, this project adopts a spiral-drive and rigid-flexible coupled variable-diameter mechanism. Adaptable to pipes of different diameters, the robot can negotiate bends and climb inside pipelines. Equipped with inspection modules, it is capable of detecting working conditions such as pipeline wear, scaling and cracks. The solution helps reduce risks from manual inspection and improves the safety and efficiency of pipeline inspection, earning recognition from the competition judges.
As a national-level innovation and entrepreneurship event, the competition attracted more than 1,000 entries from home and abroad. After multiple rounds of screening, only over 100 projects qualified for the final. Liu Yaowei, a newly recruited master’s graduate this year, delved into technical research at his post and achieved excellent results on this national competition platform. His performance fully demonstrates the innovative spirit of young Jianlong talents who take root at frontline sites and devote themselves to tackling technical difficulties.
In recent years, Huaxia Jianlong has attached great importance to the cultivation of young talents, continuously improved the talent development system, and encouraged technical staff to carry out technological innovation based on actual production conditions. The company has built platforms for young employees to practice, innovate and showcase their achievements. All staff are encouraged to learn from this role model, stay committed to their duties, dig into on-site problems and dare to make technological breakthroughs. Continuous exploration focusing on frontline pain points including intelligent mine equipment and safe pipeline inspection will inject innovative momentum into the implementation of smart mines and the improvement of production safety for the company.
