Love Relay, Jianlong's Compassion | Huaxia Jianlong Organizes Staff Donation Drive
Outside the ICU late at night, a figure stood in silent vigil alone—it was Xiong Xiangdong, the round-the-clock guardian of the company headquarters. At this moment, however, the one he was watching over had become his mother, lying unconscious in bed after a severe car accident. With intracranial bleeding and impaired consciousness, every hour of life support meant a heavy medical burden.
When it comes to Xiong Xiangdong, colleagues at headquarters are deeply familiar with him. As the company’s sole receptionist and security guard, he has held this position for sixteen years. In the early mornings, he is the first to open the company doors and greet everyone as they arrive for work; late at night, he is the last to turn off the office lights, safeguarding the company’s security. Whether in scorching heat or bitter cold, on holidays or regular days, his upright figure is always there. He speaks little but never hesitates to lend a hand when colleagues are in need; though not one for many words, his steadfast dedication day after day has fortified the first line of defense for the headquarters building. Now, as this family member who has silently guarded everyone for sixteen years faces a sudden crisis, the company has swiftly stepped forward to offer assistance.
"Employees are the company’s most valuable asset, and the Jianlong family will never let any member face difficulties alone," said Chairman Yuan Zhanyong upon learning of the situation. He immediately issued a call to action, leading the donation drive with his own contribution and setting off this "chain of compassion," embodying the company’s cultural ethos of "mutual respect and genuine care" through concrete actions.
From the morning when the news spread to the afternoon when warmth converged, in just half a day, donations totaling 71,900 yuan, carrying the warmth of each donor’s name, gathered into a powerful force of love, all flowing in the same direction. Currently, this donation, brimming with care, has been fully handed over to Xiong Xiangdong, earmarked specifically for his mother’s ongoing treatment. This act of support was never merely about a sum of money; it carries the emotional bond forged over more than two decades at Huaxia Jianlong—a commitment to never retreat or give up in the face of adversity, reflecting a shared destiny where employees and the enterprise support one another. It transforms "people-oriented" from a cold slogan into the warmth of extended hands and the strength of mutual support. Let us continue to pass on this warmth and strength, collectively embodying the profound meaning behind the term "Jianlong people": not just colleagues, but family.
