2024 Annual Science and Technology Work Summary and Commendation Meeting of Huaxia Jianlong Held
On February 28, 2025, Huaxia Jianlong held the 2024 Annual Science and Technology Work Summary and Commendation Meeting. The meeting was attended by Yuan Zhanyong, Vice President of Jianlong Group and Chairman of Huaxia Jianlong, Li Jinqian, Vice President of Jianlong Group and General Manager of Huaxia Jianlong, and other members of the leadership team, as well as members of the leadership teams from various subsidiaries and relevant science and technology work managers.
Zhang Bangsheng, Deputy Chief Engineer of Huaxia Jianlong and Director of the Research Center, delivered a report on research efforts titled "Overcoming Difficulties in Research and Stimulating Vitality through Innovation". The report reviewed the scientific research efforts in 2024, detailed the major achievements in geological prospecting, mining technology innovation, and ore beneficiation improvement, and clarified the objectives, key topics, and directions of research efforts for 2025, emphasizing the importance of continuous research and innovation.
Zhou Zhenhua, Assistant General Manager of Huaxia Jianlong and General Manager of Baotong Mining, announced the "Decision on Commending the Technological Achievements, Patents, etc. of 2024".

Sharing of Excellent Programs and Innovative Talents
Yang Xiuying from Baotong Mining, Lu Yi from Jindi Mining, and Liu Hailong from Zhurihe Copper Industry shared excellent research programs. Yang Shuifeng from Baotong Mining and Liu Zhaowang from Luanping Jianlong shared their experience as innovative talents.
Sun Wei, Dean of the Graduate School of Central South University, delivered a report titled "New Progress in Low-Carbon Flotation Technology for Large Mines".
Zhang Guangtian, a researcher from the Hebei Provincial Academy of Building Sciences, delivered a report titled "Problems and Solutions in Utilizing Tailings as Building Materials".
Qu Fuming, Director of the Smart Mine Institute at the Mineral Research Institute of Beijing University of Science and Technology, delivered a report titled "Current Status and Future Trends of Smart Mine Construction".
Yuan Zhanyong, Chairman of Huaxia Jianlong, delivered a speech titled "Scientific and Technological Innovation Lights Up a Better Life". In his speech, Mr. Yuan mentioned that first, we must believe that scientific and technological innovation is the core driving force for social progress, which not only solves common challenges faced by humanity but also brings us confidence and brightness; second, we must uphold the spirit of altruism, pay attention to the full lifecycle impact of scientific and technological innovation, and avoid sacrificing the future for short-term interests; third, breakthroughs in scientific and technological innovation can only be achieved through continuous focus, deep thinking, and constant trial and error; and fourth, we must ignite interest and passion with innovation awareness, so that we can take solid steps on the path of scientific and technological innovation. When talking about the research and innovation goals for 2025, Mr. Yuan required that we should establish an internal research team of 500 members and an external cooperation team of 500 members, set up 10 experimental centers in subsidiaries, focus on directions such as comprehensive resource utilization, smart mines, and new energy development, striving to promote the transformation and application of the company's research achievements. Meanwhile, we should also increase investment in and incentives for research to ensure that innovators are the first to enjoy the rewards of their achievements. Finally, Mr. Yuan called on all researchers to take scientific and technological innovation as the driving force and forge ahead with determination to embrace a brighter future. He wished that the torch of innovation will illuminate the path ahead.
During the meeting, all participants also visited various areas such as the ecological greenhouse, phosphorus selection workshop, research building, and intelligent command center of Baotong Mining, and conducted in-depth discussions on such aspects as production and information development.
